New Tab/Window with Same URL?

Maybe this shortcut does not exist, but I would like to open the same window with the same URL in a new tab/window so that two tabs or windows with the exact URL exist. Maybe I just have to copy and paste the URL into a new tab/window, but I thought I learned about this shortcut somewhere along the way (it's also possible I was making it up . . .). If this shortcut does not exist, is there a movement for it to exist, or am I just the only person wanting this obscure feature?

Safari -> Preferences -> General -> New windows/tabs open with: -> Same page.
