New Thunderbolt LG 32UL950 causes kernel panics when M1 is waking from sleep.

Had no problems with the 27UN850 I had for a week but wanted 32. Now every time the Mac has a Kernel panic every time walling from sleep.

Tried switching the to display port 1.2 and it didn't help. Even when the M1 didn't crash it would take 15-20 seconds to wake and any music I had playing in the background would stop etc until it came up. Honestly I didn't see much of an advantage going from a 27" 4k to the 32". I think I might prefer the 27 $600 less and will return the 32. Ill wait until Apple fixes the Thunderbolt issues and maybe see if they come out with a reasonable monitor.

I had the same issues. Switching to DisplayPort1.2 fixed the Kernel Panics for me.

But the display is waking up every 5 minutes and is lightning up the whole room in the night. Apple M1 + LG displays via Thunderbolt is a pain in the ass. 😢

Thanks I think that helped but it takes like 20 seconds for everything to wake up. I went back to the 27UN850 usb-c as it’s more stable and only takes a couple seconds to wake. Thunderbolt is horrible right now.
