Hi all,

As the title really. I just upgrade to a S6 and loving the AOD. Seeing it late at night got me wondering if some faces are more battery friendly than others due to the amount they light up?

Since the Apple Watch uses a oled display, black background watch faces will always save you that little bit extra battery life. Plus most of watchOS uses a black background throughout the settings.

As above, as much black as possible will help, so less is more in this case, but also avoiding the brighter colors like white, bright yellow and such. The watch already tones it down quite a bit so not sure how much of a difference it would make to set a darker color but if chasing minutes it may help.
