Is this normal or something everyone goes through? Historically I don't leave Bluetooth on so is Bluetooth just a drain?

If that doesn't work.... Unpair and re-pair the watch to the phone. If that doesn't work... Reset both devices and restore the phone from a backup, then re-pair. Usually just restarting will work.
