I'm using iMovie 6 (for the first time) which is all going well apart from a couple of problems.

I'm working on a film from my hols which will end up being around 1 hour long, (from 7 hours of film). As I'm downloading from my Sony Handycam, its starting to tell me I have very little disk space left on my computer, (its showing 6.48GB available). I've so far got 35 mins of the film finished.

I'm working on a Powerbook G4 with 1.12GB of memory.
Can my G4 handle this?

Yes it can if you have more disk space. Currently it wont be enough.

Would this mean buying a larger hard drive?

Easiest would be to delete / transfer some old junk off from the disk to free up space for the imovie. If you get a new disk, i would recommend external, because its easy to hook up and use in other purposes as well :)
