New to iphone 4.0 or something old i missed

Was this possible on Iphone 3gs or is it new to Iphone 4.0 using itunes to place apps into grouped folders so you can organise your social apps in one folder productivity apps in another and games in another

It's new to 4.0 but it's not iphone 4 specific. It works on the 3g and 3gs as well.

It is something new to iTunes 9.2 (assuming the device can support Folders as well).

Just downloaded it tonight and its a nice feature really cleans up the desktop. If it was available on 3gs before 4.0 it certainly doesn't work with the ipad.
Where have i been i thought it was released tomorrow with the iphone 4. Downloaded now nice how itunes synced phots and camera photos are in separate folders aswell.
