iPod New to iPod - sorry for dumb question!

Hi all,

I got tipped off that I'm getting a 30GB ipod for Christmas Sorry for the dumb question, but have I done the math correctly (Hey, I'm a musician!) ? It will hold app. 500 CDs at 128kbps? Holy Heck! Will this ever make teaching Music Appreciation easier! No more carrying around stacks of CDs (or my PowerBook) from home to office to classroom, etc. Anyway, thanks for any response.

It's about 7,500 songs at 128 AAC so at 12 songs a CD, it's probably closer to 600. Nice, huh!

Hey, neither of my parents, nor my aunt or uncle have iPods, and they do just fine teaching music.

No doubt it can be done, iPods have not always existed; however, if one has to carry around a lot of cds etc. the ipod option should have been exercised a long time ago.
