So I have my first iPod, a shiny product red 4GB nano, and I'm very pleased with it. I'm still having teething problems with iTunes though.

I have a collection of podcasts that I downloaded a long time before I ever used iTunes which I now want to put on my nano. When I click into the Podcast Library section, go to Add file to library, and click Open on the podcasts I want to load into iTunes, they are loaded into iTunes.

But they are appearing the Music section of the Library for some reason. I want them in the Podcast section, so that they will be kept seperate from the Music on the nano. I don't want to be shuffling songs and then come across a 20 minute conversation.

Is there any way to remedy this? Thanks guys

Highlight all the podcasts in your Library, then hit Cmd+I. At the bottom of the panel that appears, tick the Remember Position and Skip When Shuffling boxes. Change the Genre to Podcast.

You can change all the tracks in one hit now (a new feature in iTunes 7).

Yeah...

I'm thinking ctrl (windows) =command/apple (mac) for nearly all keyboard shortcuts, just to let you know.

Erm, I've been able to change multiple tracks since at least iTunes 3.

You weren't able to change all the information he's talking about. You're referring to the ID3 tags.

Podcast isn't available as an option in the Genre drop down menu. There's just things like Pop and Punk rock?
