New to Jailbreaking 3g - 4.0

Hey all,

I only have a Iphone 3g as I am a poor student and thats all my budgit allows.

Anyhoe Yesterday i updated to 4.0, I decided for the first time to try this jailbreak stuff.

So I used redsn0w etc etc and it worked fine!

Then the issues.

Downloaded cydia - The cache and updates dont work, just get an error

Download winterboard for themes, and well 99% of the themes i try to download from cydia says cannot connect to host, or some other error..

When I DO find one that works, winterboard dost activate it...

Any help?

I don't think winterboard has been updated for iOS 4 yet, which is probably one of the major issues. There's a couple of repo errors I get as well with modmyi, but others seem to be working still.
