New to JB few Questions?

Okay so ive had my Iphone since day 1 and i wanna try the Jail Breaking Scene out!
have a few questions!
you can email me or reply here

Here goes:
1. Since ive had my iphone for almost a year i have a lot of apps (Free and Paid), will i lose them?
2. I see the people say make a restore point im assuming before you jailbreak but i have no idea how?

right now i just dont wanna mess up my phone, but want it to be sick! so im sure ill follow a youtube video, after i make a restore point thats if i wont lose my apps form itunes store....

You shouldn't lose your apps unless you restore it.
iTunes will back up your iPhone so you shouldn't lose anything.

so my worries about my apps collected over the past year are fine..
what about a restore point of where my phone is right now.. if i need to restore... im not really understanding that part now

1st I would never list my email address great way to collect spam,

there is a stickies at the top that will help youi if you are talking cydia apps then get pkgbackup in cydia or aptbackup I prefer pkgbackup. itunes will restore legit apps. tutorial iclarified.com if this seems short you are probably the 12 one that asked these questions today.

if you are talking legit apps your fine if your are talking pirated you are sol!

Different Iphones, firmware versions require different tools to jailbreak them. You should read more about jailbreaking. Also, www.iclarified.com or www.redmondpie.com are sources you should refer to for tutorial on jailbreaking.
