The first thing you need to know as a new Mac owner (other than, it isn't spelled all caps) is that you should never have to reformat and reinstall OSX, unless something really terrible happens, like the hard drive fails.
Welcome to the Mac, and be prepared to leave some of those Windows survival tools behind!
Hey there, I am a little new to Mac also. I have been having numerous problems with this thing. I bought it off ebay, refurbished. It worked good up until a couple months ago when I started getting the umbrella all the time. i would be typing something and every couple minutes the umbrella would pop up and my computer would freeze. Videos don't play very good, they freeze up all the time, scrolling through pages the computer freezes up and I can't run multiple programs at a time. I put this thing to sleep, everything powers down and after a little while the fan comes on. I'm not even using it. Weird huh? What's up with my Mac.
