New to Mac and need help!

Hi all,

I am new to all this so please bare with me! I have been wanting to switch from my PC to Apple for ages, but need some help. First I waited for the software upgrade and now I am waiting for the new laptop models but I am unsure what to purchase.

I want a laptop for movies, pictures and animation. I also want to be able to stream to my HDTV some how (maybe Apple TV2??). I keep on looking at the MBP and the MB, but I cant decide. I need some direction!

I would appreciate your help.

Just to explain the 15th is the mac world expo where many expect an announcement for a new mac laptop.

Definitely worth it to wait until after Macworld, but if you must have the hardware now, the MacBook does all of your things well. You can watch HD on TVs with it, and iMovie etc. works very well. If you're into games, though, you should look closer to the MacBook Pro.
