Hi everyone,

I'm completely new to Mac OS and I don't even have a Mac yet. But pretty soon I'll be buying the new Macbook Pro 13". My question is simple.

If I buy it now with Snow Leopard to get it ASAP, I will want to upgrade to Lion as soon as it's out. Is the upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion like the upgrade from Win Vista to Win 7 - Will the computer be completely rebooted and without the apps I installed on my Snow Leopard OS?

Thanks :)

When you install Lion, once completed your computer will reboot and everything should be exactly how it was in Snow Leopard all your application and settings all in place.

Lion won't erase your HDD and and install.
