I'm moving to Mac after 20+ years on Windows. After much research, I ordered a 17" Macbook Pro (refurbished) and am awaiting its arrival.

I currently have a LaCie 301352U 2TB 2big Quadra 2-Disk Raid 1, attached to my Windows 7 PC.

I am planning on buying a new LaCie 2TB Little Big Disk Thunderbolt Hard Drive for the Mac.

I also plan on buying a LaCie eSATA Hub Thunderbolt Series.

I'd like to transfer the data from the old Lacie to the new Lacie. What would be the best way to get the data from the current Raid drive, that was written via Windows, to the new raid drive, that will be used by Mac? Will the Macbook be able to read the eSATA 2big Quadra (original drive) once connected via the Thunderbolt hub? Can I just connect both Lacies to the hub and move the data from the old one to the new one?

Secondly, am I correct in thinking that once I have successfully transferred the data over, I can then reformat the old drive and use both, via the hub?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
