New to MacBook Pro 16" and Wondering on Screen

So I am just moving from an iMac (21.5" Retina) to the MacBook Pro 16". I'm ever so slightly underwhelmed by the screen. It feels like they used a higher degree of glare protection on it and it just feels slightly dim compared to the iMac even though the nits are the same. I have even considered instead trying the Microsoft Surface 3 Laptop as that would certainly be more of a glossy look but then one loses so much darn power. The MacBook Pro 16" is incredible value considering its power. And the screen is still quite good. I just personally think it should be something that one ought to be able to order in the original fully glossy look without the anti-glare coating. My iMac has the coating too, but somehow it just seems like the screen of the MacBook Pro is just not quite as good as that of the 21.5" Retina iMac. I did not expect that. I doubt that I will change though because there are too many other things that this machine does so well.
