New to macbook

HI, recently bought a macbook off of ebay, without a os
specs here

so im trying to install tiger, i bought 3 disk off ebay, 2 were the gray colored ones when u put it in the install booted up but said it couldnt install, then i bought the one with the x on it. os 10.6.4 i believe or 10.4.6, tiger and i put it in and it dosent do anything

what version should i be using and how should i install it

Snow Leopard 10.6 should run on there. Where did you get the 10.6 disk? Was it one of those grey ones? Those grey disks are model specific and won't work with other years/models. The retail version of Snow Leopard here should work for you.

disk i have are os tiger with xcode 2 10.4.6, got off ebay and 10.4.8 grey
