Hello everyone,

I am Abhishek from India. I am a longtime windows user, and stil have a desktop pc.

Recently sold my samsung laptop and bought a 13" Macbook air 128gb 4gb ram 2014
I am completely new to mac, though I have an iphone for years(now iphone 5)

Can someone please tell me some great apps and softwares which can make the best out of my macbook and iphone.

also i dont need coding softwares and all
no pro softwares, just light ones but good.

Abhishek, this first thing I would get for your Macbook Air is Homebrew:

http://brew.sh

Homebrew will permit you to install many, many useful software packages from:

http://braumeister.org

You probably have Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, so other software depends on your needs. Same with iPhone apps. Good luck!

AppStore has user rated apps in each category. It's a good place to start your research. You'll find the AppStore in Macintosh > Applications if it isn't already on the Dock.
