Hi, i've been an ios user since the 3gs came out and have been without a working laptop for a few months and am going back to school. the company i am with is offering used macbook pros at a (i think) good discount. the specs are:

15.5 inch
i5 2.53
4gb
500gb hdd
dvdrw
no software(there is the base os and that's all)

for $720

is this a good deal?

I dunno how good it is but I'd pay that..

Keep in mind that it's mid 2010 though.
 
Mac2Sell says that computer is worth $1140.

Ebay says it is worth about $750 on average.

I would say it is about what they should be sold for depending on the condition.

If you could haggle it down to $700 even or even $650, that would be a *deal*

$720 is meh.

$650 is about right. It's almost 4 years old now and, more importantly, can't accept more that 8GB RAM, has a SATA2 bus for the drives, and doesn't have Thunderbolt.
