How would one go about installing MS Office on the MBA? I am completely new to the Mac and Macbook Air. I want to buy Office but do they offer a USB installer???

Download the trial, or buy and install online.

You can buy the DVD from anywhere (cheapest I've seen is on amazon). Then download the trial, install it and enter the key from the DVD sleeve

Like GGJ stated, You can use any Mac (running Leopard or newer) or Windows (running XP or better) with a CD/DVD Drive to access CDs on your Air. It's really useful and saves you that 80$ from an external drive.

Microsoft also offers downloadable versions of Office for Mac from their website.
