Hello All,
I just wanted to say that I was a PC user in my previous years and have recently converted over to the Mac world. I must say in a city where that I live it seems as though the Mac is more of a fashion trend then it is anything. It's kind of sad to see this considering the Mac is such a beautiful piece of work.
I have to admit I had my doubts about switching over considering I am so comfortable with what I was working with, but then again with time there is change. I'm going to be attending school for New Media and Web Development which make switching over to a Mac even more convincing. I must say that I am so highly impressed with the battery life so far. I haven't calibrated my battery yet, but I have downloaded coconutBattery after reading the other thread. I'm planning to drain my batter and really calibrate my batter tonight to see how mine stacks up.
I must say that there is one thing that I really am concerned for is that when you stream a video on youtube I notice the battery life dramatically drops after a video? Perhaps that's just my MBP. I've also noticed that another thing. I adjusted my Energy Settings yesterday for my MBP, but then when I turned it back on today I noticed they weren't what they were when I left them. I have tried to avoid putting in my laptop into "sleep". Does anyone have any suggestions?
One more thing before I let you guys ponder my questions, if I'm streaming my computer and I know there's probably an area where all the temporary data goes to. If I clear my "history" in my Safari browser will this help me revive some memory for my HD? I only got the 160 GB being a student, but I'm planning on buying a new external portable HD as well as adding 4 GB of RAM for schoo. I'm going to be using CS on a pretty consistent basis.
Thank you so much for the tips and I look forward to hearing your responses!
If this needs to be in a different forum I apologize as I'm still new to this site!
Please move and send me a message Mods!
Sincerely,
dlo604
PS The screen is absolutely amazing!!
