I've had an XS since launch.

I got a new Sony OLED 55” TV this week. My Synology 2600 router sits behind the new TV, right where it was behind the old TV, a 2015 Sony 4K.

I also got a PS4 Pro, which replaced my PS4 Slim.

Since getting the TV, I’m having issues with WiFi dead spots in the apartment, in a bathroom, and on our porch.

My internet connection is 500mb. On my iPad it drops to about 100 on the porch. On the XS, WiFi drops to about 10mbs, then stops working completely.

The bigger problem is that once it drops the signal, it won’t reconnect when I’m back in range. I have to toggle wifi to get it to connect again. The iPad and my wife’s iPhone 8 don’t have this issue, and neither did I until I got the new TV.

Since my wife’s phone and my iPad don’t have an issue, I’m assuming the TV isn’t blocking the signal.

Could be a Bluetooth issue? Anyone ever see this kind of behavior? Any fixes?

I’ve reset network settings. I’ve also wiped the phone and reinstalled from a cloud backup. Not prepared to go all the way and set up as a new phone just yet.

place the router in a central position of the home and elevated, not on the floor. if you have a second floor place the router upstairs. that is where my router is. iphone xs max, apple tv, multiple computers, 400 mbps, no issues with deadspots or speed. i have a netgear nighthawk R8000 router. 2 things to check are your router position and router itself, try adjusting channels to avoid band interference. or look to buy a new router. good luck
