New uMBP 15.4" Displays, R they Much Better?

Does anyone have an the previous Gen uMBP and the current just released version, can you really tell the difference.

I am thinking of getting a uMBP but the SD card slot and battery are not a great driver for me to cough up the extra cash, I would rather get a good model for a great price like a refubished uMBP 2.8 with the battery door and enduser replaceable HDD if the screen issue is not life altering.

I guess this would come from someone who has both models and what is the real difference because I had a 2.53 uMBP in early 2009 and the screen was way better then my uBM 2.4 but now they have drastically dropped in price again.

Honestly, no. But I haven't done a side-by-side comparison, so who knows?

I'm glad I'm not the only one

The new 15" has some cheap-looking audio in/out, however. It's also unnoticeable.

as you can see, the difference between the new and old 15" is so minute that I literally had to take out my old 15" and do a side-by-side comparison.

and as I said previously, the audio in/out on the new 13" and 15" are made of plastic as opposed to metal on the old 15" and the old/new 17".

You took screenshots, that doesnt do anything. They have to be photos of the screen (and good photos).

oh, well.. you can still see the slight difference in colour, the old 15" being a little darker, very very very little.
