It used to work a week or 2 ago when I first got it.... but now it doesnt go to sleep. The screen will shut off, but it never actually puts the computer to sleep... no idea how I'd fix this one... any tips?

What have you already tried? Can you take some screen shots of relevant System Preference panes? Any relevant messages during the expected time in the system.log?
I may have fixed it... I had some weird SMSDaemon thing going on in the console from syphone that I completely removed, and I repaired permissions and now it went to sleep how it was supposed to. It would sporadically work before though so I guess I'll have to see it if it continues to work right.
