Hi guys, wondering if anyone can shed light on this issue. In system preferences there is a speech pane which allows your mac to talk to you when it needs your attention for whatever reason. Go ahead and check it out. The problem is, even though I have enabled it my mac never talks to me - and this has only been the case since I got my new unibody MBP. On my gen 1 MBP it worked absolutely fine. For example when shutting down it would say "are you sure you want to shut down", or "mail needs your attention" or whatever. Has the feature just been limited by apple to not do this anymore?
