I just bought my new Imac yesterday....and yes I love it!!

One thing I'm going to use my computer for is creating DVD's from family vacations. In the PC world I used an application that would combine both movie clips and stills. There would be transitions and music in the background. Here is my question. I tried out IDVD last night, but I must have missed the concept. Do you create your project in IMovie (which would include both movie clips and stills), then open the project in IDVD to add the entry page with chapters...then burn to DVD...? I'll probably need to buy a book to fully understand it, but I'm sure I can learn enough on my own to create a basic DVD using a mix of stills and video. It can't be that tough.

Either way, I'm thrilled to be a Mac user now, and I love my new IMac! :)

Make the movie in iMovie and then export it to iDVD. From there you control the DVD menu structure and burn it to disc or create a disc image if you want to burn multiple copies of the same disc.
