I have been using the Sony XBA-C10IP in-ears and they've been magnificent.

Great comfort. Sound as good as IEMs 2-3x more expensive. Very clear, good separation, and not weak on bass but not bass-heavy as is the vogue these days.

Listen to mostly alternative, indie, and podcasts.

Looking for recommendations for similarly good in-ears at the <$100 price point.

Why not stick with Sony and get the XBA-H1's? They're $150 retail, but discontinued, so you can find them for ~$80. A great deal for some great buds.
