I love the iTunes Remote app ("Remote") and I was excited to see a new version this week. Although it didn't list any features, it did state "performance" improvements.

So far it seems noticeably slower than the previous version. For me it takes twice as along to connect, and the first time it loads the list of playlists it seems to take a while as well.

Anyone else noticing this? Not the end of the world, just disappointing.

The iTunes instance it connects to is running an older version (maybe 10.4) so I'm wondering if it would be improved by upgrading. This one runs on WHS, which is a challenge to install iTunes on, so I'm a little reluctant to mess with it.

I found this thread while googling to see if anyone else noticed how slowly the remote app is since the 2.2 update. I reverted back to 2.1.1 and it's working great with iOS 5.0.1 on my iPhone 4. God, I wish Apple would fix this!
