New version of final cut pro?

I heard .. rumors .. of a new version of final cut pro slated for some time this month. I reeeeally need to purchase a copy soon. I'm kinda unsure what to do because I dont want to get 2 weeks out of it before I have to purchase a $500 upgrade.
