Howdy all,
I just finished updating to 10.9 and although it took a couple/few hours.... i am really liking the results. System seems peppier ... I'm using a late 2009 iMac. I think I only upgraded this.. and an even older iMac to 10.8 (Mountain Lion) just a couple months ago.

Anyway, I've been a fan of the iWork suite, especially Keynote, and find myself bouncing back and forth between Pages/Numbers and OpenOffice these days mostly while completely avoiding the copy of MS Office 2011 I've got. After upgrading to 10.9 I was surprised to see that older 2009 versions of iWorks apps actually working, because i had read they wouldn't somewhere.

I'd like to try the updates but so far I can't see where it would allow me to NOT upload everything to the damn cloud (server). I predominantly do spreadsheets and word processing documents on one of my iMacs. I have ZERO interest in being able to torture myself trying to modify the same documents on my iPad, though I have the older version of numbers on it. So... I DO NOT WANT my stuff going to the cloud if it can be avoided. It's not like I'm doing anything particularly sensitive security wise... but I really don't like uploading my files willy nilly to any server I don't control, even one run by Apple. So... I can't seem to find anything on this. Does anyone know if I can avoid this supposed "convenience"?

NEVER MIND..... FOUND ANSWER
looks like you can select to share or not share iWorks docs with cloud in the system preferences. DUH.... Blonde/Grey moment on the part of yours truly.
