New vibration for alerts with 4.3

Yeah I started a thread on it last week when the GM came out. it really bugs me but there is no way to change it. Apparently it was done to tell the difference between email and notifications...I hate it! I keep thinking I'm getting two texts at once.
 
I actually like this idea... I believe that's what my Android phone did when I got a text, so I won't mind it, haha.
 
If this is the change we have been waiting for for profiles, it is a joke!:mad:

Yes, this is new in 4.3. I find it annoying that one can't turn this off.

While I can see how some people might like this 'feature', to me it looks like a bug if it vibrates even though vibrate is off.
 
How did you not know this with the other 100 threads about this since the 4.3GM came out :D
 
You guys just need to get used to it.

I can't say how many times I've thought I got a text message, and it turned out to be an e-mail. It'll be great to be able to tell the difference.

But I don't want to get used to it, I want to be able to turn it off. :)
 
I actually really like this new little feature. So many times when I'm sitting in class I'll get a vibration and I can't tell between a really notification, and email, or a text. I get a lot of emails pushed to my phone and it was quite annoying. I love this new little change.
 
It would be better if there was an option to link number of buzzes to particular events (ie, emails, texts, notifications), or the option to just keep them all as 1 buzz.
