I haven't heard of a Viewsonic option at all. Pretty sure this is a new release.
ViewSonic ColorPro VP2788-5K
$849.99

- 5120x2880p IPS display with 75 Hz refresh rate
- Thunderbolt 4
- 100% RGB, 99% DCI-P3, HDR400
- tilt, swivel, pivot, height adjustment
- Thunderbolt, USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, DP connections
- Picture-in-Picture, Picture-by-Picture options

Keeping my eye on this as I'm looking for a display that will work well with both PC and Mac.

Looks nice! It’s definitely cheaper than an Apple 5K display. It reminds me of the LG 5K. It not being gloss like the Apple display is a negative in my opinion but that’s just me. Some people prefer a matte display.

How well does MS Windows handle 5K? I’ve never tried.

That looks cool.

I'm still hesitant to go 5k because everything else will look subpar...

Including my bloody work laptops (crappy keyboard, ho-hum display and abomination of a touch pad Dell's) blech!

I haven't tried Windows on a 5K monitor either.
I'm one of those that prefer the matte. Apple seems to be the only option for those that don't want that it seems.
I keep switching between 5K, knowing that's the sweet spot for Macs, and 4Ks, for the cost difference and wondering how much my old eyes will really care. :)

This is pretty cool and I've been very happy with my Viewsonic 4k monitors. On the other hand, 75hz isn't quite 120. Maybe there will be a thunderbolt 5 version.

More shocking is the 999 pound price. Its 799 dollars in the US. Even accounting for VAT, how do you get to 999?! Let's hope this is just a placeholder description.
Yeah we always get stiffed here.
Whenever there is an Amazon offer listed on MR (and I get excited), it’s never applicable in the UK.

Windows can handle 5120x2880 perfectly. I have been using 5120x2880 for 10 years now with the Dell UP2715K!
It's just a shame that the Viewsonic doesn't have a glossy display. Matte is so bad for such high-resolution displays!
