Carrier New VzW Signal Bar?

Anyone on Verizon start noticing their signal bar occasionally says “VzW” instead of Verizon? Screenshot below along with info about my device.

iPhone 8+ (also happening on wife’s iPhone 8)

Speculating this might be a change for the rollout of the iPhone X so that the carrier fits around the notch?

Interesting, can't say that I've seen a carrier update today. Still at 29.1 that came with iOS 11.0 (with iPhone 7).
