I have designed and developed a new wooden watch over the past few years. I don't think you would have seen anything like this before if you like watches

As you are generally a design savvy bunch, let me know what you think. It's not an apple design, but it has similar influences, a bit may have rubbed off!

Cheers
David

Please do not take this personally. Not for me. I can only imagine what would happen to the wood band after absorbing sweat and body oils, because eventually the lacquer would wear down or even off. Could not see it being very hygienic for very long.

Thanks for the comments. I like the strong opinions either way! Wooden watches are a niche, that up until now look a lot more twee. I like that the material will wear and show age.

The design also caters for other unusual and interesting materials that haven't been able to be used in watches before. The simple face design allows character of the material to be more prevalent.

Here's a few more pics, you don't see unique buckles or construction very often in watches.

Thanks for the interest and taking the time to comment. Watch designed on a mac :) ...with bootcamp :(

I just glanced at them and think they look good, but I'm not a watch wearer anymore. From those I saw they look mostly masculine and curious if you make a softer profile for say a female?

this is a great looking watch. I like that the band will be gain character by my wearing one. The simplicity of the face design is great too. Will you do a black face too?

I do like, the darker one is better, for the lighter I would try a different wood.

I like the clock face, maybe painted numbers to make easier to read.

Are you going to sell these?

@multim, The dark face is very dark in real life. You know designers think in shades of grey right?? :D

It's a cool idea, I like it.

The attention to detail such as the clasp/ latch is solid.

It looks nice. But it's called a "precision wooden watch", and this caught my eyes:

"Element 24" doesn't flush with the bottom of the lock...
