New watch faces and complication

I am confused about 3rd party complication and the new watch faces which are big features in Watch OS2. This being said I have yet to find a way to add a complication a photo to time lapse watch face. I need my calendar complication on my watch faces which really limits the look my watch can have.

Is there a way to add complications to the photo or time lapse watch faces?

You can't add complications to photo and time lapse faces, just like some of the other digital faces. Too bad because I really like the Live Photo feature but no complications kill the usefulness of those faces for me.
