How many hours are you getting from your watch? Which model is it?

It’s a non issue with the 7 as it charges so fast. I charge mine while I shower before bed, then top it up in the morning while I have my coffee and I’m good to go all day. I could probably go close to 2 days in a pinch.

Interesting! I can't say that it won't last day and I worry about this but it also would not last me two days. I mean if I do not workout then maybe it would but I do workout every day and this does impact the battery. Especially when my workouts are walking outside in a sunny day (it has toll on the display). How do you manage to make it last two days? Is there something I am doing wrong or it is mostly about workout habits?

I also manage to get a full day of charge out of my Seriers 7, but:
1. The brightness of the screen is set to low
2. I don't use Raise to Wake or AOD at all, so my screen does not light up all the time
3. When I do check my watch I use the crown and wake it to the lowest brightness that I can read it.
4. I only have three apps sending notifications (activities, messages and mail), everything else is off.
5. Wireless is off all the time (is useless since I always have my phone with me)

I workout every day with it, for 60 minutes and more.
I put it on the charger when I go to shower in the evening, and not even charging to full. Usually I take it off the charger around 80-85%. And I finish the second day with 30-25%.

Thanks for sharing your setup. I am not that extreme as you but I need to mention few things like that as well:

1. I use AOD only during intense workouts (around 40-50 minutes a day), most of the day AOD is off.
2. I do use Raise to wake
3. More apps can send me notifications but my phone is not connected to data by default as I do not like notifications (they distract me). So I do not get that much notifications on my watch.
4. WiFI is on when at home, but off when outside

For the most part this usage would be enough for the whole day. I might have issues if say I go to the mountain for hiking the whole day but this does not happen that often.

They just don't get it. All any apple watch wearers want is one thing. LONGER BATTERY LIFE. No frills, just LONGER BATTERY LIFE. But the upcoming 8 model will only feature this miracle on their thousand-dollar watch.

Yeah I agree. Would be nice if they could offer two days worth of battery life.

Complete Apple Watch noob here (don't have one, yet!), but are you able to disable the GPS on the watch? Will it pull GPS data from its connection with your iPhone?

It will by default use the iPhone GPS. It will use the internal GPS if it cannot talk to your phone.

I felt like my series 7 was getting low earlier in the evening than it should, but I guess after one of the updates, it did something that helped. I always have AOD on, brightness is up (not all the way, but plenty bright), my cellular is always on since I got the cellular version because I go out to the barn, or work around our property a lot and it’s too far from the house. And of course there are messages coming in, reminders, alarms, and a few other types of notifications.

I put the watch on by 7 a.m. most days, and I usually have between 20 and 30% when I take it off around 10 p.m.

Cellular kills the 7, just normal day time use starting at 9am, and throw in a 45 mins - 1 hour dog walk streaming radio, by 6pm its on low power mode, 20% or less.

It's a 6. On a good day, when I don't use the GPS feature, ten or eleven hours. If I use the GPS, 6-7.
I had the 6 Nike+ as well.
I got just over 24hrs:
8AM off charger, in shower with me. until 10% next day until roughly 12PM.
AOD - OFF/never enabled since setup.
Notifications:
SMS/iMessage, Alarms (2 in the morning), Music playback at gym (1hr max) - this has NOT been a thing for most of 2020(Watch 4), 2021/2022 (5 Nike+), no reminders - only Birthday's,
No social media alerts whatsoever (not trying to win any popularity contest, I'd fail anyway lol).

Smartwatches, since SonyEricsson brought them to the mainstream, and up until Google screwed them over like Palm did with PalmOS on Clie, has always been a watch, fitness sensor and notifications glance. Until battery life approaches 3-4days with full notifications (no app restrictions here), 4hrs music playback, and AOD and easily goto 3 or 4 full days. what's the point?

ps; point of Apple Watch is GREAT but with AOD/full notifications what's the point of this to last under a day?!

THIS IS ... THE WAY!
