Anyone else see this?? Wii Anti-Slip Covers

Seems Nintendo is providing them for free with all Wiis and remotes they sell. Kinda ugly but I guess they will help prevent people from throwing the remote through their plasma TV.

Too bad they aren't offering them in different colors like many of the 3rd party ones already out there.

I still don't see a problem here. :p
Out of the hours and hours that six or seven people have played our Wii system (including my 2 y/o daughter), not once has the Wiimote went airborne.

Some people are just too emphatical with their swinging I suppose. :D

I'd like to see the correlation between thrown Wiimotes and alcohal consumption. Something tells me that one leads to the other....

I mean, hell, if I threw my Wiimote through my uber-expensive TV, I'd need a drink too.

Hopefully Nintendo didn't block off the battery cover like the 3rd party covers.

From the diagram and picture it sure looks like it does.

Those jackets are fugly. Even if I was prone to throwing my Wiimote around I still wouldn't put them on.

Eww! I would never put that **** on my Wii remotes! What happened to their previous rubber cases. They looked much better:

After hours of wii sports and wine I can tell you my TV is still in tact. I did hit someone in the head though once trying to backhand some ball. ;)

Notice how Nintendo's Wii Remote covers have a reservoir tip? Fascinating...look at the shape of the thing. Plus, it vibrates....

Nintendo is going a bit overboard to cover it's bum. But, since they're free, I can't complain. :)
Yes but if they did not do this some ******* would have sued. At least Nintendo steps up before the mayhem begins!

I'm all for freebies, regardless of how fugly they look :D

Still never a problem damaging stuff with a Wii mote. Smashed the thing into the cieling once and not a spot of damage on either end! Cheers builders and Nintendo.
