It's always been that way with all iPhones. When you're connected to wifi, it does not and never has shown your cellular data connection alongside the wifi connection symbol.

It's normal. Your phone uses the wifi connection as you consume data instead of cellular.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I just came from chilis and I was able to see how the lte appears once I'm not on wifi. I thought I did something wrong lol.
