so my company FINNALY allowed an option of a company issued mac instead of the same boring HP elitebook every few years.

I work from home most of the time on a 38" ultrawide so usually only use 1 screen with my laptop closed (same with my personal mac)

many of the desks at my office though have 2 monitors, how can i (if at all) use 2 monitors AND the macbook screen at the same time?

The Air doesn't support 2 monitors natively, but you can do it with a dock. That's how I work now. I have a Hyper dock right now. I used to use a DisplayLink dock too.

funny cause my hp elitebook can display 2 monitors 😂

If the office was properly set up, the two monitors would be connected to a DisplayLink dock. That‘s the only way it would work. Sorry to hear they downgraded you to an Air. Was a MBP offered?

You don't need a dock per-say, just a standard display link adapter. They make it a usb-c to hdmi dongle.

no, was either another elitebook or the m2 air
