Hey all, boy am I happy.

Just purchased equipment for 2 new edit suites for a feature film yesterday.

Quad Core 2.66, 3GB, 7300GT
8 Core 3.0, 3GB, XT1900
2 2ms monitors each
Kona video cards with DVCPro HD acceleration
Audio and Video monitoring
A bunch of TB of shared Fibre SAN storage.

And after the feature is gone, I get the 8 core :D
 
So afterwards, you get the 8- core, but who gets the quad? ;)

Did I mention that you are looking particularly stunning today?

My thought initially was "Who cares, I will have an 8 core"
But virus, if you can convince my boss to give you one that we will have spare.....
 
Sorry for the wait in the reply guys, Can't say more than it is a horror film. With Zombies! (Yay)

Also I am on leave at the mo, setting up the assistant edit suite and the storage next monday morning, 8 core is taking a while to source from apple. Pics will be taken!
 
The place needs a decent clean and re-arrangement, but you get the idea.
Also we are setting up 4 3d station in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.

Also, what is the SAN? We're looking into one for our facility so just curious...
