I'm in NYC working for a week and was initially disappointed as I could not even surf one web page at JFK. Now, in Manhattan I am see the fastest data speeds I have ever encountered in all my travels. Take a look for yourself.

For those of you who live in NYC what Kind of download speeds do you normally see?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

Wow, I would be very happy if I could get the 5Mbps download speed that you are posting here. :)
I live in PA., where my top speed so far has only been as high as 4.65Mbps.

Such speeds are common only in Manhattan. In Astoria, where I live, it's about 1.5 Mb-down/1 Mb-up. The JFK area is very unstable, sometimes there is no 3G at all.
