Still can't afford it.
The New Zealand release date for Apple's iPhone 5S and 5C has yet to be confirmed, but consumers can buy the 5C today after it was released on daily deals site 1-day at noon.
The two models were released last Friday in 11 countries, and in three days more than 9 million units had been sold worldwide.
The 5S was marketed as a top-of-the-line model, while the 5C was intended to be a lower-cost plastic version that would help Apple break into markets such as China.
New Zealand prices for the two models have not been released, but it has been predicted the 5C will cost about $799.
Today, 1-day.co.nz was offering the 5C for $949.99 before it had officially been released in New Zealand.
Consumers can buy the phone in green, blue, yellow, pink or white, and were told to expect a four-day delivery time.
Apple has released the 5C in Australia, where 1-day also operates.
