Hi, I have nearly 100 (!) System extensions activated, all by "Unidentified developer".
Many *seem* to be Apple extensions but why are they labeled as by "Unidentified developer"?
I guess they are old extensions which were migrated from my old 5,1 box to my M4...
Is it safe to at least turn them off, if not delete them entirely?

Do yourself a favor and make a clean install on M4. Don’t use Migration Assistant or TimeMachine restore, as you will most likely end up with the same mess.

Too late for that I'm afraid :) I'm not about to start over at this point...

On a clean installation, /Library/LaunchAgents is empty.
None of the com.apple ones are supposed to be there. Delete them all and reboot.
Look into /Library/LaunchDaemons as well.

Seriously...?
/Library/LaunchAgents has 312 items in it... The most recently modified date is before the migration however...
/Library/LaunchDaemons has 358 items. Only one has been modified relatively recently...

Really delete them all...?

Something went quite wrong there. It looks like the content of /System/Library/LaunchAgents/ has been copied to /Library/LaunchAgents, and the same for other folders.

They seem to be in a variety of locations but quite a few are in either /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks or /System/Library/Frameworks
Some in /System/Library/CoreServices...
The box runs perfectly well though... :)

Until some subtle error crops up and you don't realize it's related to the compromised system.
