Is magsafe better than wireless charging?

Does it generate less heat than typical wireless charging and is it safer for the phone?

Since it charges at a higher wattage than regular wireless charging, I was just asking.

Or just how does the technology work if possible?

Magsafe IS wireless charging..............
The manner in which the technology works is VERY mysterious.
You can google that.

Both use same technology to wirelessly charge. MagSafe allows to secure the phone and charger exactly with the wireless coils on phone, allowing faster charging. Most high end phones support up to 15 W. Speeds and watts used to charge depend on technologies implemented on phone

Thanks for the lessons, seems better

Appreciate it.

I have magsafe and tried it and went back to wired charging. The phone heats up less with wired charging as far as my experience goes. Plus if you have a case this may just make the phone heat up more and is more inefficient.

Anyway, After a few heating up episodes, magsafe sits unused on a shelf…

MagSafe does indeed heat the phone up, as does normal wireless charging. A solution i use is keeping the duo on top of my air purifier. Other is getting a new battery 2x a year

MagSafe generates more heat than wired. Also, wired brick with higher watt generate more heat than the low one. The less heat the better for iPhone (and any device as well), even though it means, slower charging (longer charging time). In real world, it’s simply try to balance between these 2 extremes.

With a Qi charger you have to line up the phone properly and I did have days where I wasn't paying attention and didn't do that. With Magsafe there's no doubt that you attached it.
