Newb to jailbreaking: creating a custom unlock screen

Judging by the AndroidLock and Tap to Unlock themes, I assume there's a way of creating a custom unlock screen. I've been able to find tutorials on changing the "slide to unlock" text and the slider images, etc., but I haven't come across the means by which to design a completely different unlock screen. What I'm trying to do is create an unlock screen where I can slide a sword into a sheath to unlock the phone, to go with the Kill Bill theme I've already designed. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
