Newb trouble with NFS mount. Mounted via disk utility, but no permission and no promp

hi

i mounted a nfs share via disk utility and verify says the server appears to bre functional, but when i try to connect via finder with command-K I get a message that says I don't have permission to access the server. The problem is i never receive a login prompt.

i'm using Lion 10.7.1.
