Newbee; How to show lyrics on IPAD??

New to the IPAD stuff, I have a friend; well had a friend that showed me Lyrics on there IPAD and IPhone. It was so cool to be able to see the words as the music is playing. I quickly found that I don't really know the words like I thought. Anyway now I have an IPAD but the Lyrics will not show on my IPAD.
However another friends Ipone WILL show lyrics? Im confused, I have Lyrics enabled in settings. Whats up.

Settings -> Music -> Turn on Lyrics & Podcast Info

Pretty sure the song has to have the text there to display. You can add lyrics manually in iTunes for the particular song.

You can view lyrics on the iPhone but not the iPad.

Settings -> Music -> Turn on Lyrics & Podcast Info

There is no such setting on the iPad; only on the iPhone. It makes no difference whether the lyrics are manually added or not; they will not display on the iPad.
