Newbie 3G question

Hi everyone

I've just upgraded from 3GS with ios4.5.1 to iPhone 5. ) and have just found this forum. What a great place it is for info. SomI have a few questions I want some help with.... Here is the first

To preserve my battery on the 3GS I used to turn 3G off when not used. Is that not possible now as I can't find an option for this

Hi All,

I also have the same situation, I called Orange today and they advised that a option should be there to disable 3G, however it's not.

Can someone please confirm if this a feature of iPhone 5.... it's doing my head in.
