Hi: I've got my Airport Extreme up & running after much time on the phone w/Apple & Embarq techs. At some point, they walked me through the process of setting up a password for my network, but my MBP automatically logs me on to the network as soon as I turn the computer's Airport on. Want to be sure that anyone else who would try to log on would have to give the password. How can I check for that? Thanks much!

In the Airport Admin Utility (located in Applications > Utilities), choose your airport base station, and then select the "Airport" Tab. Under "Airport Network" the security status is listed under "Wireless Security."

EDIT: You can also download a widget like Airport Radar, and once it lists your network, you should see a lock across from the name.
