Hello all... Just got my first Mac last week - a 20" Intel Core Duo iMac (2GHz, 1GB RAM, 256MB Video memory, 250GB HDD), and am really enjoying the overall experience thusfar.

I'm very active on other forums, and am looking forward to adding this one to my list of "addictions!" Can't wait to learn more about the Mac...

Take care,

Aaron

Welcome and congrats on the new Mac. I'm sure you'll love it.
Thanks very much... I definitely am thusfar. I'm taking my time bringing all of my digital photos and music over from my old computer (PC-based laptop), as well as other things like re-creating my email addressbook, etc. It's taking some time, but that's fine - I'm enjoying every minute of it!

Can't believe none of our type-A types have ragged you for posting in the Mac Basics and Help forum. An intro thread might be best in the Community Discussion forum.

Welcome to the madness! Macs and MacRumors are two great places to be!

Thanks for the heads up on the Community Discussion forum... I'm not a Nazi on the other forums I frequent, but I can appreciate why they act the way they do. You spend so much time on a forum, and it becomes like second nature. Then, when some n00b shows up and just starts breaking all the "rules", or forum etiquette, it bothers you. After about the 10th person in the same week, you start to go berzerk on people...

At any rate, I appreciate all the warm welcomes. I'm already learning a ton from this site.

Thanks!

SEE^^^^^ lol then move it....=]

Welcome...im a recent switcher too, and i love it too.....wait until you get into the terminal....=D

Silly calebjohnston, you forgot to move the decimal point over.

Ahh!
I wish I could hug my computer.... But I have an iMac G5. It's so thin!
There's, like, nothing to hug! All I can do is cut my arms on those sharp edges.

Hi Perfusion,

Welcome to Mac and MR! :)

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying your new 20" iMac Core Duo. Such a fine machine you decided to purchase. :)

I must agree with you Unorthodox, the OP's life is now ~496% easier now that Perfusion has a Mac. :)
