newbie imac owner help!!

ive got a brand new 27"imac for xmas (my 1st imac)and i was just wondering how you make the web page in safari browser fill the entire page.at the moment it covers about a third of page right down the middle and its kinda annoying.
ive tried looking around but cant find anything to help.the fonts are really small too.
any help would be appreciated.

to make the page full screen press this

I done believe you can make the font size larger but you can pinch to zoom in on your mouse/trackpad.
